                                                                 Happy end

It was the first week of October. The Browns decided to wind down and go to a forest. Mr. and Mrs. Brown were annoyed with their work as well as their little children were bored with spending all weekends at home. The time came for them to cheer up and reduce their stress. Spending a day in the forest seemed to be the best way to do it. Everyone was so ecstatic about the trip!
When they came to the forest and found a picturesque glade, Mr. and Mrs. Brown started to prepare food for the picnic.  Children’s hearts weren’t in being as quiet as a mouse so they were playing, shouting and laughing. Suddenly little Jimmy saw a huge tree with strange mushrooms growing on it. He was stunned when he noticed it. Jimmy took an interest in these mushrooms and decided to sample them. He tried a few small bites and wrinkled his nose. Mushrooms were disgusting.
After some time mother shouted «Everything is ready. We are about to start our picnic! Girls, Jimmy come on! Don’t be as slow as a snail!»
Jimmy was sitting under the tree and holding his belly. He was close to tears. «Mommy, I’m feeling as sick as a dog. My stomach is rumbling and it hurts so much.»
«Oh my God, Jimmy, what happenedcried Mrs. Brown.
   «Maybe it’s because I ate those mushrooms» murmured Jimmy.
«They must have been poisonous! What are we going to do? » mother was almost hysterical

Everyone was appalled but father said «Calm down and get into the car. We should take Jimmy to the hospital»

Mr. Brown was driving as fast as he could and finally they arrived to the hospital.
When Jimmy was taken by the doctors his parents were sitting and waiting for news. Mrs Brown was devastated and Mr. Brown was heartbroken too. After an hour a male nurse came to them and told that everything was good. Parents were over the moon when they got wonderful news.
Doctors recommended that Jimmy should stay in hospital for a few days. His parents decided to cheer their son up and bought him a dog. When little boy returned home he was absolutely elated.

  1. It’s inexplicable how parents of the boy felt. I realise why they were so devastated and heartbroken. Actually, they are solely responsible for their son and in this case was nobody to take the blame. Fortunately, everything was put right and everybody was elated.

  2. To be honest, I was really alarmed while reading this story. Poor boy! It is impossible even imagine how appaled, devastated and gutted were his parents. Thank's God, the problem was sorted out promtly. On the whole, parents should bear in mind that they have to be observant regarding their children.

  3. I’m sure that parents shouldn’t neglect their responsibilities. For example: if the parents from your story were more observant, they would never face the prospect of being gutted and feeling sheer desperation. Moreover, we should bear in mind that ONLY WE are solely responsible for our children. That’s why we should teach our nearest and dearest to be cautious about wild mushrooms because not all of them are edible.
