Final blogpost
Although the trimester seemed never-ending, in a few days we’ll pass all our courses and reach the point when we’ll finally be
able get some rest. So it is a perfect time to wear my heart on a sleeve and share my genuine feelings about the English
Vocabulary course.
As you’ve
already understood, my dear readers, it is my final blogpost and I’m going to
dedicate it solely to the pros and cons of this course. Well, to be honest, mostly to the pros. And I
am not blowing it out of all proportions.
I really can’t find any drawbacks of
this subject.
I was ecstatic about it from the
very beginning because I adore learning stacks
of words and accumulating my
vocabulary. However, I am inclined to
think that we could have learned even more words since many of them we already
knew.
To tell you the truth, I am contented with my
progress. I think what contributed to it the most and fostered my skills is that we were writing small dictations at the
beginning of every class. It made me revise words on regular basis. Also I
liked that we were making dialogues incorporating the words that we’ve learned,
especially our final dialogue that was a group project. It was good to feel a team spirit and collaborate
with my groupmates. I must say that we accomplished
our task quite easily because two heads
are better than one.
Having to blog was a completely new experience for me.
Writing some blogs was very fulfilling
but there were also some blogs writing which was a considerable difficulty for me. Perhaps, it depends on topic. Mind you, the most difficult was to
meet the deadline for blogposts. I failed
to do it a few times (and I am really sorry about it) but better late than never:). As for on-line
tools, I liked working with them to, especially creating speaking avatar. To my mind, they are extremely useful as they
make us show our creativity and imagination.
As for some
suggestions, I think it would be good to pay more of our attention to the
mistakes that we make in our blogposts. As a result, it would improve our
writing.
By
and large, I think this course has loads
of benefits and it’s one of my
favourite courses this year. It is said that practice makes perfect. Well, I’m anticipating the next trimester when I’ll be able to practice at
the English
Vocabulary course:)
